This morning, we said good bye to Nadia, and headed back towards Irktusk where we spent a few hours. The asian inflience can definitely be seen here, and there area number of Buryat people.The city was picturesque, with nice fountains, and some local markets. However, having been spoiled by the places we had seen so far, it felt just like a normal city - in many ways copying elements of other cities.
I have probably not mentioned yet that every major city in Russia so far has seemed to have newly weds walking arond having their photographs taken - any day of the week! I managed to get two in one photoshot, though three would have been plausible!We played pool until We boarded our 10:15pm train towards Ulan Ude - arriving at 06:20am - bah! Let's see how that goes.
