New experience for the day - eating a Japanese pear. Juicy, but not too sweet - a good source of water though! We had an easy day and ate in "my local", where the staff are very attentive and I ate some more unidentifiable meat - this time in the form of tubes. Stu had a nice vegetarian option.
With my passport packed full of Visas, and my last work day at work on 2nd of June out of the way... I have left for my travels abroad - over three months overlanding across Russia and Asia! My aim is to go as low carbon as possible - overlanding as much as possible - just one flight home, and one flight across where borders are closed. Look forward to meeting up with Ushma, Tom S, Tom B, Stu, my folks & bro, Cathy and Dave all along the way! LOOK OUT FOR MY (SHORT) DAILY UPDATES!

WEEK 4! Stu arrives - start of the next phase (10 July)
Today was an early start, and the start of the next phase of
travels... through China with Stu. I shared a car to the airport to Claire and
Morris and said goodbye to them there, and waited for Stu's flight to
arrive.
It was 4 hours late! And the only place available to sit and
have a drink and a sandwich was evil Starbucks! I managed to pass four hours or
so reading books and writing my blog (off-line). I am sure it was much worse for
Stu spending 8 hours pacing around Moscow Airport. Then he arrived, and we got
him to the hotel so he could recover from jet lag!
