A slightly lazy day in Cologne

Today was a nice lazy and mischievious day with Ushma and Tom of not trying to do too much. Cologne is beautiful city, and the amazing Dom Cathedral really dominates it (I did manage to pick up the figure from the complex Baroque exterior that looked like Yoda!). It really is worth a visit, both inside and out, and the 533 stair climb to the top!

This was followed by am amazing cable car ride across the river (ignoring that I saw a telly floating in it earlier), where I had a therapeutic swim for my back while Ushma and Tom refuelled.









The culture here is incredibly laid back and friendly. People take proper lunch breaks, and smile at each other and are nice. Sightseeing here is so much less stressful here than other cities. We will take in a couple of Galleries tomorrow before heading to Berlin to join Tom B - the good news is that Toby has decided to join us on Friday too!
