Both were excellent. The former had a lot of Picasso, who is one of my favourites! The latter was an education for me, since it had a lot of infomation around the history surrounding the art as well some interesting comment on the pictures themselves.
That's not to say that there was also some total rubbish (subjectively speaking of-course!). In one of the rooms, I noticed that anything that was taller or wider than two metres, with just "colours and stuff" on the canvas and possibly no real discernable meaning was called "Untitled".
I didn't dignify these with taking a photograph!
By the way, the hat is a present from Ushma and Tom. It's a "Wallaroo" that they got for me when in Australia. It's waterproof and sun-proof - who would have thought?
More breaking news: There is some uncertainty about whether permits to enter Tibet are being allowed during part of the July/August timeframe... Watch this space. I am keeping close contact with the agency Asia!
